Rick Batchelor, President
During a career spanning across five decades, Rick has earned a stellar reputation for quality construction and customer service. Rick and a partner founded Omni Home Builders, Inc. in 1976, building homes in Jacksonville, North Carolina and the surrounding area. In the mid-80s, Omni Home Builders developed Raintree, a 166-acre, 500 lot development in Jacksonville which completed the final phase in 2003. Rick expanded the operation to Wilmington in 1986 and moved with his family to the area in 1990. Omni continued their history of building quality
homes in several area neighborhoods before developing Wood Duck Forest, a
29-acre, 58 lot community off of College Road and Belmar Forest a 50-acre, 107
lot community just north of Wilmington.
Rick is currently working with several clients while they plan to build and overseeing the construction of several homes in River Landing. Rick and Netti are both avid golfers and love to cook.
Rick has been married forty years and has two children. His wife Netti, has been helping clients design their homes and coordinate their selections with subcontractors since Omni was founded. His daughter, Melissa, has recently earned her PhD in nursing and accepted a position with Duke University. She received a fellowship from BAGNCP to pursue her PhD, and has lectured in the UNCW School of Nursing for the past three years. Melissa is married to a builder and has three children, Parker, Olivia and Davis.

Sheila Troup - Office Manager
Sheila is a licensed real estate broker and has been with Omni since 1981. Her knowledge and experience in the real estate and construction industry has contributed greatly to Omni's success. Working with clients daily and handling financial matters are just a few of her many duties.
Her husband, Allen, has also been in the construction industry for almost 30 years, painting both as a subcontractor and as a retail manager. They have one daughter, Amber who was recently married and is employed by a land surveyor in Jacksonville.
Tim Batchelor
Tim began his career with Omni working summers on the job until he was out of high school. After college, Tim moved to Charlotte and helped a small team design, deploy and market a global electronic trading system, Blackbird. After leaving Charlotte, he moved to Wilmington to start his own business selling remainder books and DVDs through Amazon.com and eBay.
In 2006, Tim joined Omni Homes, filling the role of project manager. Over the last five years, he has gained a great deal of on the job experience and worked on homes from $100k to over $1m.
Rick and Tim both possess a great deal of product knowledge and are experienced in a wide range of residential construction techniques and best practices. Over the last three years, they have completed six Energy Star certified homes and gained a great deal of experience in cost-effective energy saving construction techniques.
